Soybean meal is classified into classes, subclasses and types according to the treatment undergone, with their presentation and their quality characteristics, respectively.
Classes
Soybean meal, according to the treatment he underwent after the extraction of oil, will be ordained in 2 (two) class:
Toasted Meal
It is the meal that was subjected to heat treatment after extraction of oil and present appearance and odor peculiar to roasted product, be free of extraneous materials present in its composition and activity with varying pH ureatic lower 0,5.
Crude Meal
It is the meal that was not subjected to roasting after oil extraction and present appearance and odor peculiar to fresh product to be free of extraneous materials present in its composition and activity ureatic with variation in pH or higher than 0,5.
